Abstract:

Forensic specialists are faced with the challenge of detecting and preventing fraud as a result of technological advancements. In this modern time, forensic experts now require a blend of technological expertise and investigative skills to be able to effectively pick up discrepancies. Organizations that do not adopt to this world evolving technology leave themselves vulnerable to fraudulent activities. Python emerges as a vital forensic tool as it easily interfaces with current forensic techniques. It is capable of revealing fraud red flags within text data from social media and emails. In addition, it makes pattern identification and anomaly detection much easier. This review article used exploratory methodologies and a thorough literature review to explain how Python improves fraud detection capabilities and support effective investigations in the field of forensic accounting.
